Hi! I'm Sarita. I'm based in Atlanta and do mostly documentary and portrait photography. Some of my recent projects include documenting the Black Lives Matter protests and shooting new family photos for Syrians living as refugees in Georgia.

I immigrated to the US as a kid and have felt at home in the South ever since. Atlanta is my favorite place—in all of its scrappy, humid, complicated glory.

I'm a recovering academic and have written a lot about oral history and the power of narrative. I also helped start an experiential high school and a residential incubator for social innovators. I love art and music and minimalist design. By day I'm lucky to work at MailChimp.
